    Can you use additional filters, such as cut to size electrostatic portable AC filters on this model? Would a HEPA filter be too much blockage? Can mold or bacteria, etc develop inside these or is the coils too hot for it to survive, as in making using a filter pointless ? Thanks in advance anyone!

    What do you do when the grease appears to not go into the fitting but squeezes out around it? Tighten it more?

    • @BillOfAllTrades2016
      @BillOfAllTrades2016 3 дні тому

      Yes you may need to tighten it more. Another possibility is that the zerk fitting is clogged. Try to tighten your coupler first. If it still oozes out then you may need to buy new zerk fittings and replace it. Sometimes they seize up and don’t allow grease to enter. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching. • @BillOfAllTrades2016
      @BillOfAllTrades2016 5 днів тому

      Let’s start with what is the engine code that you scanned? Have you done other service recently? I’ve seen people have one code, fix that code and go to test drive it and a different code comes up. So it’s helpful to know what we are dealing with. Just saying your check engine light is on can mean you have dozens of possible issues.

    Depending on the model of ac you have, you might find success just clearing the dust from the fins with a dry toothbrush and no cleaning solution. Just be gentle to not bend the fins. Increased the air flow and cooling by 3x when I cleaned mine. I was afraid to go all in with taking it apart and getting it wet like the method shown in this video because of where the electronics are located in mine.

    I have a slightly different style floating caliper where the pads have ears that slide along these pins on a caliper carrier. But my issue I think I the same. They are somehow jumping when I brake. So much to the point where I took the pads off and inspected and one of the inner pads had an actual lip. Any way to fix this on my setup? I’ve tried new pads and rotors and the issue remains. The car is a Mercedes e class
